is a Helsinki-based writer, editor, and  journalist.
Her newest book Everyday Sisu: Tapping Into Finnish Fortitude for a Happier, More Resilient Life (Penguin Random House) will be published on
March 15, 2022 in the US. 
Her first book about sisu, the Finnish concept of courage and resilience, was published in 2018 in the UK as Finding Sisu (Hodder & Stoughton) and as The Finnish Way: Finding Courage, Wellness, and Happiness through the Power of Sisu (Tarcher Perigee/Penguin Random House) in the US. It has been translated into 22 different languages and published around the world by leading publishers from Germany to Japan.  
The first sisu book takes readers on a journey to Finland and explores simple and sensible ways to boost wellbeing inspired by the Nordic lifestyle ranging from winter swimming and cycling to the Nordic diet.
